Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Day 40: Allu Arjun's Film Approaches End of Dream Run, Earns ₹1 Crore on 6th Monday
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has had a phenomenal box office run for over 1.5 months. However, the film has now seen a noticeable drop in earnings, recording its lowest single-day collection to date on the sixth Monday. The film may be nearing the end of its impressive theatrical journey.
Pushpa 2 Hits a Low on Day 40
On the sixth Monday, Pushpa 2: The Rule earned just ₹1 crore at the box office, as reported by Sacnilk. The earnings were broken down as ₹24 lakh from the Telugu version, ₹75 lakh from the Hindi version, and ₹1 lakh from Tamil. Prior to this, the film also recorded lower earnings on its sixth Friday, grossing ₹1.5 crore.
The movie had a stellar opening, with ₹725.8 crore in its first week, and continued to dominate the box office even amidst competing new releases. In its second week, the film earned approximately ₹264.8 crore, but saw a decline in the third week.
Surpassing Milestones
Despite the recent dip in daily collections, Pushpa 2 has set remarkable records. The film surpassed Baahubali 2 in collections, with a worldwide gross of ₹1,831 crore and ₹1,438 crore in India alone, making it the highest-grossing film in the country. It is now targeting the worldwide collection record held by Aamir Khan's Dangal.
Pushpa 2 Reloaded: A Possible Box Office Revival
While the film's collections have slowed down, there is still hope for a box office resurgence. The filmmakers have announced the release of an extended version of the film, titled Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded, which will feature 20 minutes of additional footage. The reloaded version was initially slated for release on January 11 but faced delays due to technical issues. It is now scheduled to hit theaters on January 17. The makers have promised that the extended version will feature “whistle-worthy moments” and intensify the action, adding to the excitement.
